Jeff’s roots are in Memphis, TN. It was there Jeff was introduced to the blues in the 1970’s. Influences from Freddy King, Otis Redding, Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughn helped to mold Jeff’s soulful voice. Jeff spent many years singing in hard rock bands until his heart was tugged by the blues once again.
Tim is one of the founding members if the Blue FO’s. He credits Freddy King, Delbert McClinton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, BB King, Eric Clapton and Robin Ford for having major influences on his sound and style.
Jeff has been playing tenor sax for the past 25 years with many local groups including Bellevue Cadillac, Fatwall Jack and Rick Russell and the Cadillac Horns. Some of the music that Jeff helped create in Bellevue Cadillac has been used in television and the motion picture industry in the TV series Brimstone and the movie Shallow Hal. Primarily an R&B sax player Jeff developed his style listening to sax players like Gene Ammons, Illinois Jacquet, Arnette Cobb and Red Prysock.
Hooked on the Blues and Southern Rock some of Fred's early influences were ZZ TOP, Lynyrd Skynyrd, BB King, Albert Collins and Eric Clapton. Fred played with a well know band, Jim Hall and Tulsa Queen back in the 80s then decided to take a break from music to build a family. Kids are grown now so he's back playing again after a 20+ year hiatus. After filling in for the Bluefos in early 2013 Fred earned the spot as their bass player and is loving every minute!
